Forget Me Not

I know I have totally neglected my poor blog.  Unfortunately, at the moment I am devoid of Internet.  We moved out to the country, and aside from really expensive satelite, we cannot get Internet.  Less than 5 miles out of town but DSL and cable in unheardof (apparently). 

I have some pictures from our Hawaii anniversary trip that I would like to post (hopefully) soon.  I actually just uploaded them from my memory card last week.  Mybad. 

Here’s to hoping you hear more from me from now on.  :)

I Gotta Feeling

 This feeling didn’t tell me that rain would follow us our entire Memorial Day road trip.  Even to Death Valley folks.  Isn’t that sad?  I guess rain is kinda rare in Death Valley though, so maybe that part was cool.  We did get to see a really pretty sunset over the salt flats in Badwater, which is -282 below sea level.  Oh, and gas?  $5.54/gal!  Glad we filled up in Nevada.  :)

Flavor of The Week

Happens to be Opera.  (And finals) Yes…I said opera.  The Marriage of Figaro.  I only have a small role singing in the chorus, but since the chorus songs are spread over 3 of the 4 acts I get to be there for all of the rehearsals.  I have been helping sew costumes as well.  I also finagled my husband into helping with set design so I don’t have to be there alone, heheh. 

Really, it is not as bad as it sounds.  Most of the cast are friends that I have sang with for years and it is being sung in English.  Three more weeks and finals and opera will be over.  My goal is to start posting more regularly after that. I just wanted everyone to know that I am in fact alive, just very busy.  :)

Pale Green Things

Spring?  Is that you?  Tempurature reached 80 this week.  I am so happy.  Especially after all the storms of last week.  I had the unlucky experience of a power surge while PG&E kept playing with the power.  Ruined a bunch of my system files.  I tried everything to restore and repair my OS before having to reinstall…to no avail.  So I got the fun job of reinstalling all of my programs in the middle of a bunch of editing that needed to be finished.  :p  Not my favorite cup of tea.  But thankfully that was smooth and everything works great now!

Ah, spring means lots of photo shoots and lots of work for me!  That is always good.  I am in love with this sunshine.  I hope it sticks around.  :)
